Job Summary
As a Marketing Manager, this role holder will work with the Brand & Marketing Head, Americas, Corporate Affairs, Brand & Marketing Head, Americas and the Regional Head of Brand & Marketing, Europe & Americas to develop and execute the marketing strategy primarily for the Corporate, & Institutional Banking business in Americas.
The position is for someone who is self-sufficient; the ideal candidate will have:
  • Experience in events, conferences, hospitality and integrated marketing
  • Sound and responsible communications and social media experience
  • Creative and strategic marketing
Responsibilities
Strategy
  • Awareness and understanding of the Group and Regional business strategies, with the ability to manage and lead components of the delivery of Brand & Marketing strategy and plans
  • Contribute to overall Corporate Affairs, Brand and Marketing (CABM) Americas priorities as a member of the CABM Americas team.
  • Contribute to the CABM EA regional priorities.
Business: Client Events and Client Communications*
  • Contribute to the development of the Brand & Marketing client engagement strategy
  • Lead the development and execute integrated client activities for the areas responsible, to enhance the Standard Chartered brand in the Americas and support business objectives
  • Develop and manage memorable, engaging client events for Americas markets, and support the execution of any global events in the Americas.
  • Identify opportunities for business teams to extend client activities into digital communications/channels
  • Develop client communications/marketing materials for the businesses and functions
  • Build relationships with internal stakeholders and colleagues across the bank to stay informed and identify client engagement opportunities
  • Work closely with the Corporate Affairs team in Americas to identify opportunities to maximise client communications
  • Work closely and manage vendor partners
  • Collaborate with EA Corporate Affairs team to leverage their comms expertise to extend activities outside events
  • Recommend and track measurement of client activities
  • Managing client engagement activities, adhering to the designated budgets.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across CABM and the wider organisation to manage and implement CABM strategy and key projects across the Bank, and to ensure continuous best practice sharing and improvement.
  • Maintain effective and close collaboration with Europe team for shared Europe & Americas region objectives and priorities.
  • Build strong relationships with colleagues across the organisation; serve as a trusted advisor.
Processes
  • Manage procurement, legal and compliance to ensure contracts, content and invitee processes are aligned with corporate policies and compliance
  • Identify areas and manage activities for process improvement and recommend ways to increase functional effectiveness and improve operational efficiencies
  • Ensure adherence to the Operational Risk Framework, Group Code of Conduct and various policies, procedures, and guidelines of the bank by the regional Brand & Marketing teams
  • Maintain high awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the business operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role
  • Completion of all mandatory training needed including e-learning within stated timeframes to support the understanding of the roles for delivering effective governance

  • Ensure oversight and application of the policies as they relate to the CABM activities across the region.
  • Ensure a full understanding of the risk and control environment.
  • Ensure adherence to the Risk Management Framework, Group Code of Conduct and various Policies, Procedures, Guidelines, regulation and controls as set by the Bank and external regulatory authorities.
  • Maintain awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
  • Adhere to policies including escalation and compliance requirements, and follow any other relevant internal controls and procedures as they relate to process, products, policies, and regulations
Regulatory & Business Conduct

  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. Expected annual base pay range for the ro le is $93,280 - $128,260 .The final offer will be determined on an individualised basis using a number of variables, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience and education, internal relativity, and specific work location. At Standard Chartered Bank, Base pay is only part of the total compensation package.
