We are looking for a Content Strategist/Writer to manage the creation and promotion of SPDR ETF content and marketing materials targeting financial advisors and institutional investors. You will report to the Head of Content for the US SPDR ETF business who will help prioritize projects and assign deadlines.
In this role, you will be responsible for leading projects and daily activities to plan and create relevant content, drive customer engagement on the website, and promote content (in collaboration with marketing colleagues) through various marketing campaigns and channels.
You are a self-starter who excels at working across groups (cross-functional & external) and who possesses strong content planning, content writing, and editing skills. You have proven project management skills, experience with SEO writing, and excellent attention to detail.

As the Content Strategist/Writer you will:
  • Participate in strategy/brainstorming sessions and manage content projects from ideation to final publication and beyond, working in partnership with the broader marketing organization to identify the best ways to effectively promote content across various marketing channels.
  • Plan, write, edit, and review content distributed by the SPDR ETF Marketing group, including: articles, webinars, videos, podcasts, whitepapers, research reports, presentations, web pages, emails, and social posts.
  • Help to update existing marketing content prior to expiration. As data updates are made, you'll assess whether the story and framing also need updating.
  • Collaborate with our brand and design, UX, and production teams to ensure copy and design work together to drive customer engagement. This includes working closely with design to source, select, and create images, charts, infographics, and other design elements.
  • Optimize content for search and customer engagement, applying SEO and digital engagement best practices.
  • Coordinate with legal and compliance teams on content reviews to ensure it is appropriate for the intended audience and approved for use.
  • Work closely with the production and digital publishing teams to ensure content is properly published, maintained, and promoted across the website.
  • Co-manage the team's editorial calendar and communication of content plans to marketing team members and business partners.
  • Assess content engagement and performance via collection and analysis of engagement data. Make recommendations to optimize areas of underperformance and identify new opportunities.

These skills will help you succeed in this role:
  • Bachelor's degree preferably with major in marketing or communications
  • 4-7 years of relevant marketing communications experience; financial services experience a plus
  • Experience in regulated industries desired
  • Experience writing for print and digital mediums and proficiency in optimizing copy for different content formats, e.g. social, email, landing pages, blogs, infographics/data visualizations, podcasts/videos, articles, whitepapers, presentations, etc.
  • Strategic thinker with strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills that enable you to effectively collaborate with senior executives, investment teams, marketing partners, and external partners
  • Results-oriented with a proven track record of delivering projects in scope and on time

Salary Range:
$70,000 - $115,000 Annual
