Westcap is seeking an investment professional to fill the role of Investment Analyst.

What can you expect in this role?

As an Investment Analyst, you will collaborate with our experienced team of investment professionals to support the analysis and assessment of current and prospective investment opportunities. The Investment Analyst will conduct detailed investment due diligence processes, review financial statements, and calculate valuations of potential investments across a wide range of industries and sectors. You will create financial models, collect data and industry research, prepare investment memorandums, and monitor the operations of a diverse investment portfolio.

What we’re looking for:

The ideal candidate will be self-driven, passionate about a career in venture capital and private equity and enjoy working in a collaborative team environment in order to achieve the firms' objectives and deliver positive results to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• University degree with a focus on finance, business or accounting
• Enrolment in the CBV or the CFA program would be an asset but not necessary
• Previous similar experience would be preferred
• Financial modeling techniques and valuation methods
• Research and analytical abilities
• Ability to manage simultaneous projects in a fast-paced, professional environment
• Advanced working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel
• Attention to detail and deadlines
• Logical and analytical reasoning to resolve problems
• Self-motivated professional who is practical and result oriented
• Communication and presentation skills
• Team player- ability to work collaboratively
