In the role of Technical Business Analyst, you will play a key part in our product success and customer satisfaction by transforming ideas, business opportunities, research and creative vision into solutions that provide clear, useful and performant outcomes for users. You will be a key member of the engineering team, contributing to the creation of resilient, scalable and joy-to-use solutions for end clients, in close collaboration with other team members and business partners. To achieve our ambitious goal of re-architecting and redesigning our platform to fuel dramatic growth, we need the energy of the whole team channelled into the right direction leveraging on your experience, professional knowledge and enthusiasm.

You should be
  • Curious about your profession. Keen to learn and using your knowledge to deliver business value.
  • Great communicator able to understand client's needs and translate them in technical requirements.
  • Able to take ownership of your work with high attention to quality and details (starting from requirements gathering, right through to working with our excellent development team to deliver software and our QA / UAT teams to validate solutions ahead of the client roll outs).
  • Ability to think about the big picture and understand the end-to-end workflows, whilst considering detailed implementation details.
  • Understand our clients' needs


As part of our team, you will
  • Work closely with business stakeholders and development team to ensure that technology solutions align with business goals and requirements.
  • Work with business partners to understand business requirements.
  • Do system analysis and business requirements refinement.
  • Identify and create User Stories for development team.
  • Prepare functional specifications and user acceptance testing (UAT) criteria
  • Prepare Business Process Review diagrams.
  • Coordinate UAT.
  • Be creative and learn constantly.


We value if you have (but not essential)
  • 3+ years' experience working in a technology role, preferably related to software development / business analysis
  • Knowledge of discretionary PM investment processes
  • Knowledge of mutual fund operations / processes / order management / transfer agency.
  • Skills in using ADO
  • Skills in drawing activity diagrams / process flows
  • SQL for data analysis
  • Interest to learn new business analysis skills & techniques
  • Ability to collaborate with key business partners, scrum masters, development leads, developers, UX/UI designers and QA team members to ensure delivery meets high-quality standards and effectively act on internal feedback.
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities.

Our hybrid work model

BlackRock's current hybrid work model is designed to enable in-person connections and collaboration that is core to our culture, while supporting increased flexibility for all employees. Some business groups may require more time in the office due to their roles and responsibilities.
