As a Barclays Project Manager, you will apply the right processes, tools, methods, and skills to manage the delivery of a project from business case through to closure. We've helped millions of individuals and businesses thrive, creating financial and digital solutions that the world now takes for granted. An important and growing presence in the USA, we offer careers providing endless opportunity.
We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. We're flexible on how this works and it may continue to change and evolve. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month, or a quarter. However, some colleagues may choose to spend more time in the office over a typical period than their role type requires. We also have a flexible working process where, subject to business needs, all colleagues globally can request work patterns to reflect their personal circumstances. Please discuss the detail of the working pattern options for the role with the hiring manager.

• Ensuring that any changes to the detailed business case (DBC) for an initiative are identified, assessed, and then approved or rejected by appropriate governance
• Handling governance and oversight - providing the framework for implementation, working with the AE and Programme Manager (where relevant)
• Establishing a governance forum that is fit for purpose (having identified the key stakeholders) and facilitating the continuous review and approval of key delivery documents
• Determining, monitoring, and managing to workforce and financial requirements,
• Liaising with product and service delivery on resource requirements actively, and overseeing supplier and vendor management
• Ensuring that planned outputs deliver the agreed outcomes and that the outcomes remain relevant; & course correcting where required to ensure the programme delivers on its aims
• Assessing project status and RAID (risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies) of the initiative
What we're looking for:
• Proven ability to deliver in matrix management environment without direct resource ownership
• Extensive experience delivering large scale/high budget projects
• Excellent track record of execution and results, high level of drive to meet deadlines and targets
• Good knowledge of OTC Derivatives, Cash Products or Security Financing Products - and how they work from trade capture down to Back Office
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Knowledge of investment banking front to back processes and Operations
• Knowledge of Cash Settlements and Payments
• Experience in process improvement analysis and business process reengineering.
• Degree level or equivalent education in a project management, scientific, computer science, engineering, mathematical, financial or IT field is desirable but not essential
