Global Asset Management, the investment management business of the HSBC Group, serves HSBC's worldwide customer base of retail and private clients, intermediaries, corporates and institutions invested in both segregated accounts and pooled funds. Global Asset Management fulfills its purpose of connecting HSBC's clients with investment opportunities around the world through an international network of offices in approximately 30 countries, delivering global capabilities with local market insight.

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an RFP Specialist.

Principal Responsibilities
  • The RFP Writer role is critical to the new business process, playing an instrumental role in the achievement of HSBC Asset Management's (AM) growth ambitions in 2023 and beyond
  • The RFP Team leads and completes RFPs, RFIs and Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs) for Institutional and Wholesale clients and consultants globally and encompassing a wide and diverse range of asset classes, investment strategies and funds
  • Works closely with internal stakeholders/subject matter experts to ensure high quality articulation to clients of HSBC AM's investment philosophy, capabilities, processes, investment vehicles and the firm's competitive advantages
  • Partners with RFP colleagues in other regions to support cross-border RFPs, RFIs and other client documents
  • Supports Head of RFP, Asia (and Global and UK Head of RFP) in building the regional and global RFP function
  • This role offers the opportunity to develop advanced RFP skills and knowledge of HSBC's capabilities, working closely with experienced and senior team colleagues, and to take on expanded responsibilities and projects over time
Requirements
  • University degree or equivalent qualification required, preferably with an investment or finance focus
  • Detailed knowledge of RFPs, RFIs, DDQs and related client documents, including regulations, compliance requirements and delivery processes
  • Sound understanding of investment products and markets and client requirements
  • Good knowledge of performance systems, reporting systems, third party performance databases and institutional reporting standards (i.e. GIPS)
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office tools
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills and, ideally, Chinese (both Traditional and Simplified Chinese). Additional language skills, such as Japanese, French, or Italian would also be an advantage, but not essential
