Job Summary
This role partners with the Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) Americas business at both strategic ideation , planning, delivery and execution level of the client engagement strategy. The role will develop and execute holistic marketing campaigns/programs and activities that can be measured in terms of its contribution to brand building and business targets/objectives.
Responsibilities
Strategy
  • Determining overall CIB marketing strategy for USA and LATAM, working closely with Head, CCIB Americas and USMT, Product Heads ensuring alignment with regional and global strategies
  • Contribute to overall CABM vision/priorities as a team leader in the CABM Americas team.
  • Work with the CABM Americas team to deliver a holistic and coordinated Marcom plan across the Americas and also aligned with the wider EA team for cross regional strategy
  • Work with the functions regional/group teams to manage and implement key projects and strategy chances across the bank
  • Understand and communicate the regional/group strategy to teams under the area of responsibilities.
Business
  • Accountable to Regional Head of Brand & Marketing EA to drive the marketing strategies, whilst maintaining and balancing Regional / Group wide standards
  • Work with the team to develop plans for CCIB marketing disciplines, delivering quality activities to drive exceptional client level experience backed up by well-designed actionable metrics that are used for future decision making.
  • Design and execute campaigns to meet business needs, delivering quality activities to drive exceptional client experiences - on plan, on budget and on time
  • Drive digital strategy and effective use of digital platforms across the Bank for all marketing campaigns.
  • Provide direction on leveraging research insights to strengthen Customer Value Propositions and Thought Leadership positions to Country Management Teams, integrating them into CIB marketing plans
  • Use competitor and research insights to provide thought leadership to formulation of marketing strategy that supports Americas brand & marketing and business strategy
  • Develop, socialise and implement the annual marketing plan/calendar
  • Project manage enterprise marketing campaigns and programs to include Global and Regional Sponsorships
  • Drive digital marketing with the business teams using existing digital platforms and support amplification of relevant content across a spectrum of digital, website, social media and traditional media channels, ensuring consistent messaging across all client touchpoints
  • Forecast, measure and report on all marketing activity results within agreed deadlines
  • Ensure the measurement and reporting of marketing campaigns to understand and gain insights on their performances against business objectives and ROIs.
  • Proactively lead joint planning sessions; coordinating with all stakeholders to deliver end to end activities.
  • Plan and execute virtual and physical events ranging from private roundtables to large scale conferences, with the key objectives of building a positive brand profile and promoting the bank's capabilities.
  • Deliver localised sponsorship activation programmes, leveraging any bank sponsorship assets to elevate client experiences and achieve target outcomes.
  • Align and support Regional and Group's marketing initiatives, develop and localise client communication and marketing materials.
  • Oversee the production of all marketing materials and marketing campaigns, organising events, liaising with external agencies and vendors to ensure deliverables. Manage and work with agencies
Processes
  • Develop regional plans supporting the overall global business goals and drive impactful engagement between CABM global and regional teams, providing guidance on localisation of global strategies, programs and implementation of these in region.
  • Develop measurement frameworks, metrics and KPIs that ensure marketing strategies are effective and impactful.
  • Work with supply chain management and legal and compliance teams to effectively manage vendors, including sponsorship agreements.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and recommend ways to increase functional effectiveness and improve operational efficiencies
  • Provide input into regular senior executive updates on a timely basis ensuring the campaigns and plans ROI are clearly included and articulated/
People & Talent
  • Work with Regional Head of Brand & Marketing to create a strong professional team of Marketing professionals
  • Share and advise on best practices and emerging industry developments on Marketing professions across the country
  • Enhance leadership capability and create a culture of talent development and empowerment in CIB Marketing team. Champion capability and training requirements for the CIB Marketing team.
  • Coach the CIB Marketing team to enhance their professional and management skills and provide career advice for their continuous development
  • Assess and measure the team's activities to ensure alignment with plans, forecasts and capacity models.
  • The role holder requires leadership, outstanding stakeholder management and experience and skills in event management and client engagement,.
  • Raise the bar on conduct and demonstrate how we are here for good to clients and colleagues.
  • Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values. Set appropriate tone and expectations across the team and work in collaboration with all partners, internal and external.
Risk Management
  • Responsible for maintaining Marketing standards and Brand compliance.
  • Manage marketing standards to reinforce overall SC brand positioning through consistency in tone, manner, look and feel.
  • Ensure oversight and application of the policies as they relate to the CABM activities across the region.

Qualifications
  • 10+ years of marketing experience, preferably within the financial services industry
  • Ability to translate business objectives into strategic marketing content, campaigns and/or events with a digital-led focus
  • Excellent events management experience, including use of virtual platforms for webinars and hybrid events
  • Good understanding of B2B marketing and media
  • Ability to identify trends, analyse potential solutions and gain commitment to recommendations
  • Strong project management and administrative skills. Able to work with matrix teams locally and regionally, manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills (written and spoken) and stakeholder management skills
  • Proactive and positive attitude, with a creative eye and good problem-solving skills
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite

Expected annual base pay range for the r ole is $124,000 - $170,500. Th e final offer will be determined on an individualised basis using a number of variables, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience and education, internal relativity, and specific work location. At Standard Chartered Bank, Base pay is only part of the total compensation package.
