Join an expanding team in a newly created role! This position leads the growth objectives of Ameriprise Banking and Cash Solutions (BCS) within a designated territory of financial advisors. Through proactive outreach, education and training efforts, the Banking and Cash Consultant will drive sales by advising financial advisors on how to effectively incorporate banking products into their practices and build better financial outcomes for their clients. Network with internal business partners to create opportunities to represent BCS at internal events and in the field as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage deep product knowledge to increase sales in Securities-Based and Home Lending solutions, Ameriprise Certificates, Credit Cards, Personal Trust Services, and other products/services as directed.
  • Build trusted relationships with advisors, field leaders and other centers of influence within an assigned territory through effective positioning of BCS products.
  • Provide product education via multiple channels including phone, video conference and in-person presentations at events that may require travel.
  • Develop a territory sales plan that includes advisor segmentation, target activity metrics, effective pipeline management, tactical sales messaging, and marketing campaign support.
  • Collaborate with sales leader and other business partners on various projects and assignments.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of direct sales experience and experience in the financial, banking or mortgage industry.
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to quickly build & establish credibility & relationships.
  • Broad knowledge of financial services industry particularly in lending, cash management and trust services.
  • Active Series 7 or ability to obtain within 120 days from hire date.
  • Active State securities agent registration (S63 or S66) or ability to obtain within 120 days from hire date.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Ameriprise Financial.
  • Solid understanding of financial planning process & experience working with financial advisors.
