Role Responsibilities
Strategy
  • Awareness and understanding of the Group's business strategy and model relevant to the role
  • Communicate compelling and well thought out digital & innovative solutions to complex problems
  • Participate a multi-disciplinary team in the planning and execution of digital transformation strategy workshop, including adopting appropriate approach/methods, facilitation techniques, pre-work and deliverables
  • Trend scout for emerging technologies to define new, and to evolve existing services provided to business
  • Participate in the process for proposing innovation and target solution - including GBA build initiative for T&I
Business
  • Awareness and understanding of the HK, GBA and Macau business, technology risk and control in CPBB and CCIB business, economic and market environment in which the Group operates
Processes
  • Full awareness and understanding of the Bank's Technology Process Universe
Risk Management
  • Full awareness of the Bank's risk management approach through 1st, 2nd, 3rd line of defences
  • Uphold highest level of code of conduct to ensure full compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Comply with applicable Money Laundering Prevention Procedures and, in particular, report any suspicious activity to the Unit Money Laundering Prevention Officer and Global Client Services Head
Governance
  • Responsible for assessing the effectiveness of the Group's arrangements to deliver effective governance, oversight and controls in the business and, if necessary, oversee changes in these areas
  • Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
  • Responsible for delivering 'effective governance'; capability to challenge fellow executives effectively; and willingness to work with any local regulators in an open and cooperative manner

Other Responsibilities
  • Work on a wide range of fintech projects which may include Open API, Cloud, distributed ledger technologies, artificial intelligence, payment processing, RegTech and cyber security;
  • Close collaboration with business stakeholders to bring new and innovative products to the market, responsible for analysis, design, development, and implementation of the products;
  • Support the eXellerator's pipelines and activities;
  • Support the Bank's fintech accelerator, facilitate application selection process, project coordination and networking activities;
  • Run awareness programme to promote fintech and innovative culture within the Bank;
  • Conduct detailed, in-depth market research and data analysis;
  • Observe the regulatory requirements over fintech adoption from the technology risk management perspective;
  • Support the Bank's ability to detect technical incidents and mitigate impacts through proactive "Customer journey" monitoring;
  • Organise employee volunteering activities to encourage the Bank's staff to support our communities and to promote ESG;
  • Participate in ad hoc projects and tasks as required.
