Our equity trading desk works to ensure best execution of the firm's trades for Mutual Funds and Separately Managed accounts. We maintain relationships with several stakeholders at Lazard including Portfolio Managers, Compliance, Risk, Operations and Marketing. We are looking for a dynamic and experienced trader to join our team.

We'll trust you to:

Execute equity/future/option/SWAP trades for various Portfolio Management Teams in various styles (Cash, program, algorithmic) and ensure Lazard Trading is in compliance with best execution policies at all times.

Run and analyze monthly/quarter/ad hoc requests for various teams at Lazard including marketing, compliance, various committees.

Research, document and rectify system and settlements issues through collaboration with IT and settlements department.

Maintain external relationships with brokers, vendors, third party providers as well as internal relationships with Portfolio Managers/Analysts, Portfolio Implementation, IT, Compliance, Marketing, Risk and Operations.

Work to help streamline trading process and work on automation solutions to help trading mitigate risk and achieve scalability.

Proactively provide color from equity capital markets to Portfolio Managers. This includes dissecting relevant company/sector news, opportunistic levels to trade, review earnings, and analyzing technical levels.

You'll need to have:

3-5 years of trading experience on either the buyside or sellside, but buyside is preferred." If coming from sell side, previous role in trading, not sales trading. "

Past use of EMS/OMS system and Bloomberg." "Charles River experience preferred but not necessary. ""

Proficient in SQL, Python and/or VBA, as well as working closely on projects with technology team.

Trading Analytics/Alpha modeling experience preferred.

Market Structure knowledge, especially in the US markets as they are some of most complex markets when it comes to this area of expertise.

Excellent communication, organization skills- with a well-developed sense of urgency

Ability to move quickly, thoughtfully.

We expect the base salary range for this role to be approximately 150,000-175,000 USD. Various factors contribute to determining the actual base compensation offered, including but not limited to the applicant's years of relevant experience, career tenure, qualifications, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, relevant skills for the role. Base salary is one component of Lazard Asset Management's compensation package, which also includes comprehensive benefits and may include incentive compensation.
