Investments and Wealth Solutions - Investment Platforms and Operations
Hang Seng's Investments and Wealth Solutions offers a full spectrum of investment products and services to both private and corporate clients across the entire client continuum (from retail to high net worth clients).
We enable our customers to invest in a wide range of investment products across all asset classes including fixed income, foreign exchange and derivatives, structured products and mutual funds.
We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our department as Business Manager.
Principal responsibilities

• Provide business management support and process governance to Investments and Wealth Solutions (IWS), oversee the execution of business initiatives and activities in support of business area aims.
• Engage with IWS teams and various businesses and operating functions to design, document and maintain effective processes and ensure compliance with all relevant laws, rules, codes, regulations and guidelines set by regulators and internally by HSBC Group.
• Manage and plan for the development and production of risk and control related data analytics and ensure that they are fit for purpose and allow the various control owners to perform their duties adequately.
• Facilitate and support senior management decision making by use of management information, performance information, analytics, forums and stakeholder feedback.
• Participate in devising and monitoring of internal governance activities including risk and controls, regulatory controls, audit and regulatory compliance review remediation.
• Support Head of Business Management to establish and maintain a strong change management framework across the entire transformation landscape, including but not limited to IT system deployments, process changes driven by the support functions (Operations, Finance, IT), changes in risk appetite, or regulatory environment.

Requirements

• University Graduate in Finance, Business Administration or related disciplines
• Minimum 5 years of experience in banking/ financial services industry with exposure in business management, analytics or investment related business
• Knowledge of investment products such as Investment Funds, Bonds, FX and Structured Products is preferred
• Strong organizational, project management and people management skills
• Good interpretation skills especially with regards to understanding regulatory requirements, business risk, processes, procedures and operational controls
• Good analytical skills with ability to think logically, quickly grasp complex topics, and synthesize multiple sources of information
• Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective deliverables
• Independent and proactive, able to work under pressure
• Excellent interpersonal skill and strong literacy in both English and Chinese
• Sound knowledge of PC application software such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese Word Processing
