As a Barclays Cash Equity Product Cost of Income (COI) Data Analyst, you will support the Cash Equity desks in the UK and EU. The main emphasis of the role includes generic PnL explanation (Cost of Income, Client Profitability) and to work with the existing Quant functions to design and implement tools and applications to assist in the day-to-day functioning within Sales and Trading. You will ensure that data is appropriate for the end user and utilise the access to build responsive and predictive alerting to changes in client or firm behaviour.

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. What will you be doing?

• Supporting the day-to-day activities of the Cash Equity business across Sales and Trading delivering PnL /cost projection modelling
• Driving the Cash Equity Quant roadmap in conjunction with all Equity product requirements
• Helping the Equities business with relevant data analysis where it pertains to items such as but not limited to regulatory adherence
• You will have considerable interaction with IT system owners and as well as Product Control for any PnL accountabilities
• Working with the business and functions you will identify optimal solutions on both day-to-day items as well as driving strategic initiatives
• Understanding the PnL (Cost of Income, Client Profitability) of the relevant desks, looking at entire trading patterns of the UK and EU entities of Barclays
• Working together with the equivalent Quant Prime Product lead and ensuring that the pricing received by the trading entities is appropriate and correct

What we're looking for:

• Knowledge of front to back flows for the Cash Equity and Synthetic product with an attention to detail, must be able to work thoughtfully and logically
• Familiarity with the financial regulatory landscape (e.g. MIFID2, Dodd-Frank, Volker, EMIR, Basel 3, CCAR etc)
• Ability to work in a pressured environment with the ability to multitask and take the initiative where and when required
• Possess a high degree of numeracy and be motivated to learn and proactively seeks accountability

Skills that will help you in the role:

• A degree in a technical subject area
• Demonstrated ability to utilise multiple programming languages such as but not limited to C#, Python, SQL, HTML, CSS
• Experience in UI development beneficial
