About our client

Our client is a prestigious family office with a successful track record in investing, developing, and managing a portfolio of projects in diverse real estate segments in the US, Spain, and Mexico. If you have solid experience in the real estate sector, with indisputable capabilities in analysing, structuring and developing real estate projects, this role is for you. The position is based in Mexico City. What the job involves

• Work on transaction deal teams to undertake and manage equity investments across key strategic markets, including the USA and Mexico, in the current investment strategies (industrial, multifamily) involving varied investment structures
• Produce detailed investment committee recommendations including executing due diligence, financial underwriting, and market research activities, and take a major role in answering challenging technical questions
• Lead in the definition and implementation of asset management strategies aimed at driving financial performance in the short and long term
• Take an active role in the monitoring and management of the investments across the assigned portfolio
• Manage and prepare a quantitative analysis of portfolio and asset business plans
• Oversee and manage multiple external parties (lawyers, accountants, tax, and commercial advisors etc.) in transactions and begin to build new relationships with advisors/partners to help with deal sourcing and execution
• Interact with diverse in-house teams on a daily basis for asset management and investment activities
• Oversee and mentor junior members of the team, be able to troubleshoot issues, questions and offer guidance
• Update project development budgets and financial models on a regular basis, report progress to internal committees
• Develop and maintain standard pro forma models, participate actively in the annual budget process for the portfolio and engage in ERP integration for control purposes
• Ensure adherence to policies and procedures to maintain effective internal controls

Who we are looking for

• Several years of experience working as an analyst or associate at a real estate firm, including but not limited to: real estate private equity, investment banking or finance
• A driven, determined, and persistent self-starter with a passion for real estate
• An entrepreneurial spirit and growth mind-set
• Experience in business, real estate, finance, or related field preferred
• Bachelor's degree in math, business or engineering highly desirable, MBA/Master's degree constitutes a plus
• Exceptional communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ample and validated experience in financial modelling at the asset level
• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish
