Position: Summer Intern – Private Wealth

Location: Calgary, Alberta

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic undergraduate student for a Summer Internship position with our Private Wealth team in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. This internship position is designed for undergraduate students who have an interest in investing. The internship will last approximately 12 weeks.

                                                  

What is the Private Wealth team responsible for?

Private Client Service Team services our high-net worth investors in Canada. Our high-net worth clients are invested in multiple strategies including customized mandates.

What are the responsibilities of the Summer Intern?

This internship offers a unique opportunity to learn about private wealth from an industry leader. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to:

  • Assist Private Wealth and High Net Worth groups with various projects such as Customer Relationship Management (CRM) clean up, Client Account Maintenance, data entry/filing support and ad hoc projects.
  • Automating client accounts and data feeds, revision of client deck support.
  • Assist Trust Officer manage client will bank and other trust related duties.
  • Supporting Private Client Service Associates and Wealth Counselor on client requests.
  • Provide ad-hoc support to the rest of the team.

What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?

  • Rising undergraduate student in his/her second or third year of university
  • Keen interest in developing a career in financial services
  • Proficient computer skills and highly proficient at MS Excel
  • Experience in Automation and programing
  • Strong verbal and written communication as well as presentation skills
  • Solid analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Eagerness to learn and a desire to be a team player
  • Ability to work Independently
  • Flexibility and willingness to perform various ad-hoc assignments

Compensation Range: This is a full-time internship where students will work approximately 38 hours per week and earn competitive hourly pay of $22 CAD per hour. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
