Description

BlackRock's Client Experience Report Onboarding team is accountable for ensuring that BlackRock meets our clients' need for data, including the provision of market leading reporting solutions and effective client service. As a part of the Report Onboarding team you will formulate the successful delivery of critical investment reporting for our Multi-Asset Strategies and Solutions (MASS) clients. In particular you wll own the existing VBA based reporting tool and drive the ongoing evolution of our reporting soluitons and tools. You will partner with colleagues to craft and advance a globally aligned vision and business model.

Responsibilities will include the following:
  • Constantly evaluate systems, processes and procedures for inefficiencies and make recommendations for improvement
  • Analyzing trends in data requests to improve and enhance client reports on an ongoing basis
  • Use BlackRock's technology to provide efficient and scalable solutions, as well as regular application of Excel to customized solutions
  • Supporting relevant business improvement projects, including automation/standardization efforts and the evolution of standard reporting
  • Partner with global peers to implement a consistent, scalable, and controllable operational platform.
  • Build strong partnership and work collaboratively with data source providers and client business partners to improve product offering, quality and timeliness of product.
  • Demonstrate risk awareness and focus on delivering an appropriate operational control framework around client deliverables including review and validation of monthly metrics.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with functional Regional Heads to implement business priorities in the region through a globally consistent and locally relevant approach aligned to platform, process
  • Stay current on major activities being undertaken and challenges and successes that are being experienced.
  • Be an operational leader with vision within Client Distribution Platform
  • Complete various efficiency and capacity-building initiatives, including automation/ standardization efforts


Requirements:

Preferably 5 yrs+ financial services experience, ideally in investment management
  • Proven track record in delivering projects and implementing solutions
  • Hands-on programming at advance level including automation experience with tools such as Python, VBA, SQL, RPA, Unix.
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and tools. Agile, Jira, Git, Continuous Integration
  • Strong knowledge of Business Analysis techniques
  • Project Management methodology and best practices desirable
  • Nice to have:
  • Experience with a NoSQL Database (e.g. Apache Cassandra)
  • Building web applications using latest frameworks (e.g. React, Angular)
  • Strong skills in data visualization
  • Tech first mindset and curiosity; experience solving problems through technology
  • Strong problem solving skills with the ability to synthesize information, summarise issues and suggest solutions
  • Ability to operate effectively under tight deadlines with strong emphasis on appropriate prioritization
