Who we are looking for
Global Delivery is a critical part of the business operations at State Street. We have around 20,000 staff various locations around the world including key locations in EMEA, APAC and North America and our global hubs in Hangzhou, China, Krakow and Gdansk in Poland and Bangalore, Hyderabad and Mumbai in India.
Functionally, we are the backbone and nerve center supporting the entire investment servicing lifecycle across our key asset classes - Asset Management, Asset Owners, Insurance, Alternatives including PE, RE and Hedge and the Official Institutions and a wide spectrum of investment servicing products.

What you will be responsible for
As the global head of custody you would lead a globally diverse team with 5 SVPs and 2 MDs reporting to you who oversee the custody services across corporate actions, income, payments and settlements/safekeeping, tax services and transaction management. Your role is also responsible for COE supporting corporate actions, income and transaction procession and reconciliation services for all back office and middle office services.

As a Global Operations leader you will
  • Focus on client outcomes, problem solving, cooperating and communicating with rest of organization to achieve shared success
  • Ensure timeliness and accuracy of the client deliverables for your respective set of products.
  • Able to process feedback and develop meaningful actions to resolve identified challenges along reasonable timescales and demonstrate growth mindset
  • Ensure key metrics, performance and risk indicators are in place to track volumes, manage growth, service delivery quality, cost, productivity, efficiency and risk
  • Financial performance to operating plan, forecasts are accurate, headcount and expenses are actively managed and agreed efficiency targets are achieved
  • Actively manage executive global stakeholders across Global hubs, Global Delivery and Investment Services. Partnering with other hubs and JV's on best practice sharing, optimal operating model
  • Business continuity planning and execution. Development of a scalable, robust operating model that delivers resiliency. Strategic interactions with key stakeholders and partners to ensure continued operations.
  • Identify and develop opportunities for transformation and capacity creation. Drive productivity and operational effectiveness
  • Develop and lead a large team, fostering high performance and creating a destination for top talent. Develop effective modes of communication, delegation, talent development, employee engagement, and succession planning.

Specific minimum qualifications:
  • A proven track record at a senior level in asset servicing or asset management
  • Technical knowledge of custody and settlement activities and associated regulations
  • Demonstrated skills in problem identification and resolution as well as collaborative problem solving in a complex setting required
  • Proven track record of achieving/exceeding financial goals through expense discipline and headcount management
  • Possesses excellent communications skills with evidence of successful leadership, influence and administrative / supervisory experience
  • Ability to detect emerging trends and encourage and make recommendations for creative change
  • Results-focused individual with the persistence and patience necessary to work effectively with a variety of internal and external constituents and drive results
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively partner with senior level staff, middle management and support divisions as required to execute the GDs strategic objectives
  • Over 10 years' experience running large operations teams within financial services
  • Possess the ability to create executive and board level material. Requires synthesizing and summarizing of complicated content.
  • Proven leader with effective analytical, interpersonal, written, and oral presentations skills
  • Effective at flexing and pivoting - be comfortable dealing with various changes and adapting to them
  • Influence - be comfortable working with and influencing senior leaders and executives
  • Multi-task - ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, but also be able to focus on the most important deliverables of the moment through proper prioritization
  • Ability to self-learn and research topics in order to provide context to matters.
  • A successful track record of delivering major operational or platform improvements
  • Energy, enthusiasm and an obsession with service quality and delivering to our clients

Salary Range:
$300,000 - $412,500 Annual
