Investment Grade Credit Analyst

Our client is a Bermuda-based insurance company seeking to expand the depth of credit analysis capabilities.  This individual will work in a collaborative environment and will have the flexibility to work across multiple sectors in generating and evaluating relative value investment recommendations.

Responsibilities:

• Build, maintain, and enhance credit models for assigned coverage universe.
• Generate written analysis and recommendations for specific credits, sectors and situations.
• Facilitate cross sector relative value and credit discussions with the portfolio management team and analyst colleagues.
• Deliver relative value trade ideas across industries, sectors and capital structures to the portfolio management team.
• Engage with covered issuers on credit and material risk factors, including ESG.

Experience & expertise:

• At least 7-10 years of relevant experience.
• Strong academic credentials: preferably an MBA and/or CFA designation.
• A track record demonstrating success in a research analyst role inclusive of cross-sector coverage.
• Excellent bottom-up fundamental modeling and analytical skills with an understanding of top-down thematic views.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Adept at articulating investment insights to portfolio management teams.
