The EMEA Models and Wealth Solutions Associate role sits within BlackRock's Multi-Asset Strategies and Solutions (MASS) team and is the investment group at the heart of BlackRock's portfolio construction, asset allocation, and active management ecosystem. MASS draws on the full toolkit of index, factor, and alpha-seeking investment capabilities to deliver precise investment outcomes and innovative alpha insights. Our team of 350+ multi-asset investment professionals construct active asset allocation strategies and whole portfolio solutions across a wide spectrum of commingled funds, separate accounts, model portfolios, and outsourcing solutions in the wealth and institutional channels. Currently, MASS handles over $900 billion in assets and has a strong presence in the Americas, EMEA and throughout Asia Pacific. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join as a team member in our growing Budapest office.

As the EMEA Models and Wealth Solutions Associate you will be part of a team responsible for delivering innovative whole portfolio solutions to meet our clients' growing demand for results-driven investment solutions in the face of challenging markets, greater complexity and rising regulatory scrutiny.

We are looking for candidates with a proven history of working both independently and as part of a team in a highly collaborative environment. In addition to having a passion for markets and investing, a successful candidate will bring technology skills and problem-solving skills to help develop and drive efficiencies and automation, while providing new perspectives on ways to increase scale across a dynamic and multidimensional business. Additionally, you will need exceptional communication skills and the ability to form positive relationships and work across the organization and across different regions.

What will you be doing?
  • Prepare and maintain recurring Models reporting templates, portfolio review decks and other marketing collateral, ensuring these meet compliance practices
  • Support the Client Investment Officer of EMEA wealth clients to help build and support investment solutions, manage partner relationships and support client portfolio management/implementation
  • Perform analyses on a broad range of topics, including asset allocation, portfolio construction, performance attribution, risk management and implementation
  • Support business development efforts through RFP responses and creation of presentation materials
  • Support and investigate technology to scale, enhance and automate existing processes and help streamline our business
  • Liaise with key partners and client representatives on queries for existing and prospective clients
  • Develop close links with business partners across the firm and help establish a culture of excellence within the group


What are we looking for?
  • Bachelor's Degree preferably in Business, Finance or equivalent demonstrated professional experience
  • 2+ years of experience in an asset management or financial services
  • Candidate must demonstrate knowledge of and keen interest in capital markets, as well as significant understanding of financial instruments
  • Technical and analytical skills are essential. Organized and detailed oriented with the ability to multi-task and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem solving ability to think logically and deconstruct a larger problem into sub-components and prioritize
  • Positive attitude: great collaborator with high level of motivation and inquisitiveness, comfort with ambiguity and the ability to function well under stress or time pressure
  • Independent: high level of self-motivation, able to own and drive multiple assignments at once and willing to respectfully debate the status quo
  • Intellectual curiosity: interested in the industry and looking to learn more about asset management, investment vehicles, and scale across BlackRock
  • Good judgment: ability to take prudent risks acting always as a fiduciary for our clients and our firm.
  • Demonstrated record of flexibility, responsiveness, and self-starting personality with a proven track record to innovate

Our hybrid work model

BlackRock's current hybrid work model is designed to enable in-person connections and collaboration that is core to our culture, while supporting increased flexibility for all employees. In line with local health guidance and regulations, employees are required to work at least 3 days in the office each week, with the flexibility to work from home up to 2 days a week. Some business groups may require more time in the office due to their roles and responsibilities.
