Sr. Dir Clearing & Post-Trade Product Mgmt
This Senior Director role is responsible for leading the delivery of new products and services from a clearing and post-trade perspective. They will be responsible for the entire product management function from design to market adoption. This role manages the product development lifecycle for new products and services as prioritized by CME Group. This role will collaborate closely with other internal areas as part of a cross-functional team (business lines, risk research, technology, legal, etc.) during product design and implementation. This role also ensures the adoption of CME products and services by all external parties which include execution/affirmation venues, intermediaries, back-office systems, SDRs, buy-side clients, dealers and clearing members. Although the focus will be on Cleared OTC products, the role will have exposure across CME asset classes.

Principal Accountabilities:
  • Collaborate internally with various teams within the clearing and post-trade area as well as other divisions to ensure consensus on proposed solutions; Prepare various artifacts (presentations, specifications, samples, etc) as needed for external validation
  • Lead ideation of a new product or post-trade service through the creation of a proposal on how that product or service would work while consulting internal stakeholders or keeping them informed
  • Manage engagement with market participants, which includes clearing firms, sell side, buy side, execution / affirmation platforms. Validate proposals over iterations, ensuring the final solution is in line with market expectations
  • Acting as the product owner, manage the research and creation or overseeing functional/technical requirements and UAT test plans, validating critical design concepts with IT teams
  • Oversee the prioritization process and lead ongoing prioritization decisions across business stakeholders and development teams
  • Direct market adoption of the new product or post-trade service, ensuring all external artifacts, knowledge transfers and ongoing support has taken place across impacted parties
  • Represent CME Clearing in various industry forums (ISDA, FIA, SIFMA) to recommend and drive market standards
Education & Experience:
  • 10+ years of business, analytical, and technical experience
  • BS/BA in Business, Engineering, Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science or equivalent experience utilizing a different BS/BA degree; Master's Degree preferred.
  • Proven ability to delivery new products/services from inception to production launch
  • Exposure to prime brokerage, clearing, middle or back-office functions.

  • Advanced analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced knowledge of capital markets and derivative products
  • Knowledge and familiarity of tools used for analysis and prototyping such as - SQL, Excel, Python (Optional) and proven ability to learn technologies as needed to be successful in the role
  • Understand and anticipate changing business needs as a result of regulatory impact and customer feedback
