The PIMCO Fund Operations Cash team is primarily responsible for overseeing the timely review and dissemination of accurate trade order activity to Portfolio Management for open-end funds, closed end funds, exchange traded funds, and hedge funds. Our responsibilities involve coordination with the front/middle/back offices, transfer agencies, custodians, and intermediaries supporting PIMCO's funds and our clients. In this role, you will be based out of Austin, TX and will be primarily responsible for supporting the U.S. fund complexes and providing supplemental support for the Canada and Brazil trusts.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to inquiries regarding shareholder transactions and onboarding from various internal and external groups
  • Provide vendor oversight of transfer agencies and other vendors who provide operational services for the mutual funds
  • Maintain relationships with third-party intermediaries to resolve trade inquiries
  • Support the U.S. funds business with the timely and accurate reporting of U.S. trade activity and material pre-trade notifications to the front office.
  • Operational support for separately managed accounts (SMAs) when trading mutual funds. Review and reconcile trade orders between internal accounting records and transfer agencies.
  • Provide and/or review data in support of regulatory requirements.
  • Service internal clients regarding fund trading: cash desk, short term desk, product groups, portfolio mgmt., account mgmt., middle office and investment ops.
  • Oversight of fund and client portfolio events involving mutual funds and transfer agencies
  • Timely resolution of accounting breaks and cash settlement issues
  • Drive multiple projects related to workflow and system/application enhancements to optimize efficiencies and mitigate risk both internally and across service providers
Position Requirements
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree
  • 2-4 years of experience in financial services industry, with preference given to specific experience in asset management, transfer agency or back/middle office
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, particularly as it pertains to data analysis
  • Experience with SharePoint, SQL, Python, or visual basic desirable
  • Current FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses; otherwise required to obtain within six (6) months of start date
PIMCO follows a total compensation approach when rewarding employees which includes a base salary and a discretionary bonus. Base salary is the fixed component of compensation that is determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors. The discretionary bonus is used to award performance and therefore is determined by company, business, team, and individual performance.

Salary Range: $ 73,000.00 - $ 79,000.00
