Job Summary
  • Wonderful cash management sales opportunity to help clients grow their businesses in the dynamic markets of Asia, Africa and the Middle East. This will be done by helping clients expand internationally to new countries or by offering new payment/collection methods that could expand their target market. The sales lead will also offer solutions to make client more efficient by streamlining their collections or payments processes or by optimizing their liquidity structures.
  • The individual will drive new cash management sales via "new to bank" revenues, transactional cross-sell, and product/market penetration with portfolio of International Corporate (IC) clients and/or Non-Bank FI (NBFI) clients.
  • The individual will be expected to develop deep relationships with clients and become the trusted adviser to help deliver new ideas to keep them abreast of market (regulatory or commercial) changes or by showing how new innovations can drive their business.
  • The role will be expected to be very knowledgeable of Standard Chartered's network and will do this by connecting with our teams on the ground in Asia, Africa and the Middle East. The role could include travel to these most dynamic markets in the world.
  • Drive initiatives around new product rollouts or driver objectives
  • Represent performance including challenges/risks and asks to senior management.
Responsibilities
Strategy

Responsible for delivering against the Americas and Global Cash Management strategy. This includes targeting new segments, driving new initiatives, and learning the next generation of cash management capabilities including digital currencies and block-chain based payments.
Business
Ideation/Pitches
  • Take the lead in identifying explicit and implied client needs, engaging key influencers and decision makers, developing solutions and leading proposals and pitches to clients.
  • Facility structuring for innovated and complex cash management deals, working with structured solutions development team where relevant.
  • Development of cash (payments/collections), liquidity and transactional FX solutions.
  • Proposal and pitches to the clients.
Revenue
  • Complete ownership of client level revenues for own clients base.
  • Provide business reporting to senior management including pipeline reviews.
Processes
  • Manage the execution through to revenue realization (as per scorecard metric of completed implementation rather than deal closed).
  • Use sales tools (CRM tools, document storage, and other tools) as part of sales discipline process. Ensure all sales discipline requirements are adhered to.
  • Document negotiation for new to bank business.
  • Active role in credit & compliance approvals on PPG deviations (as needed).
People & Talent
  • Adhere to Group's values and culture.

  • Leverage all tools to ensure cash knowledge is market leading.
Risk Management
Adhere to all sales discipline and conduct requirements. Ensure all transaction/client risks are raised and managed appropriately.

Build strong knowledge of local regulations and initiatives of local industry bodies to ensure clients are aware of the regulatory change agenda. Proactively engage business & functional partners / stakeholders to drive the origination sales agenda with clients. Promote the SCB brand and exemplify the values of the Group in all undertakings, including adherence to the Group Code of Conduct.

Qualifications
  • Knowledge of cash management with cash sales experience desired
  • Knowledge of Africa, Asia and Middle East banking practices
  • Knowledge of payment trends
  • CTP encouraged but not required

Expected annual base pay range for the role is $80,000 to $134,000. The final offer will be determined on an individualised basis using a number of variables, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience and education, internal relativity, and specific work location. At Standard Chartered Bank, Base pay is only part of the total compensation package.
