This CASS Office role is focused on ensuring State Street Bank & Trust Company's (SSBTC) compliance with the rules and guidance in the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) Client Asset (CASS) sourcebook

The UK CASS Office oversees relevant businesses across Global Delivery, Global Markets and Institutional Services in respect of CASS compliance. We deliver First Line of Defence oversight and assurance and provide expert support to the SSBTC designated Head of CASS, Steve Olford and CASS advisory services to businesses across SSBTC.
The CASS Office works closely daily with business partners, Compliance, and other Corporate functions to complement and build on the control and risk infrastructure already in place.

What you will be responsible for
As CASS Risk Specialist & Administrative Assistant, Associate 2, you will

Individual Role Responsibilities:
  • Provide administration support for the UK CASS Office: Documentation management, meeting organization, Collaborate/Yammer updates, calendar/workload planning, daily checklist and other administration activity as required
  • Produce / analyse regular CASS management information
  • Support the administration of CASS Committees, working groups and project teams. This includes meeting pack collation, monitoring actions, minutes, and escalation of overdue requirements
  • Support CASS assurance testing plans and execution
  • Participate in CASS related projects/audits that remediate issues or ensure readiness for change, with specific responsibility for project administration.
  • Maintain and continuously develop knowledge around CASS and core business products / processes
  • Perform other administrative / risk specialist duties as required
Shared Role Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to a culture of accountability, challenge and ownership for CASS compliance across all levels and relevant functions within State Street's regulated entities.
  • Work with CASS team, business partners and external parties to resolve issues and ensure adherence to all relevant policies / regulations / guidelines.
  • Cultivate effective relationships with internal business partners to successfully achieve organizational goals.
Individual Contributor:
  • Work independently within the scope of established guidelines and practices and consult with senior staff where clarification or exception to policy is required
  • Display a culture of individual ownership of tasks to embed a clear individual sense of accountability in performing the role
  • Comply with the State Street Standard of Conduct
  • Support the 'Risk Excellence' culture within the business
  • Adhere to limits of delegation and escalation procedures required by your manager so that you comply with internal policies and external regulations

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience of business / office administration related activities
  • Previous experience in Custody / Global Operations business would be beneficial
