We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Manager, Finance Business Partner, Wealth and Personal Banking.

Principal Responsibilities
  • This is a high profile role, business partnering Hong Kong & Macau Wealth and Personal Banking (WPB) which covers all Retail, Wealth and Private Banking products across the client continuum
  • We are looking for a talented individual who can provide thought leadership, perform rigorous analytics, develop actionable recommendations and influence stakeholders in response to complex business and financial issues
  • The role holder will also have a key role to play in driving and shaping the strategic implementation of a single global finance dataset and automated reporting and forecasting capabilities under the "Finance on the Cloud" umbrella programme running through 2022-2024
Key Accountabilities, Role Context and Impact on the Business:

Reporting to the Head of Business Finance for Hong Kong WPB, the role will:
  • Partner, support and influence/challenge business performance and strategic direction through provision of insightful business performance analytics, highlighting risks and opportunities and challenging performance issues where they arise
  • Identify market and global trends, perform value hunting and advise on options for business action
  • Work across the full client continuum and product propositions across Retail Banking (Deposits, Cards and Loans), Retail Wealth (Investment and Insurance distribution), Private Banking, and PayMe. Within this, the role will take a lead all finance related matters for PayMe and WPB Macau, and work closely with business CEOs to drive strategic development of the businesses
  • Work across all distribution channels and with close collaboration with business functions (notably Marketing, COO, HR, Transformation and Data Analytics)
  • Support strategic implementation of Finance on the Cloud capabilities, ensuring that centrally driven delivery fully meets the requirements of the Hong Kong and Macau businesses
  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure the financial models and model results are regularly reviewed and update. Review system procedures to ensure effective internal control and governance are in place for quality, consistent and timely financial and management reporting
  • Close and collaborative engagement with other finance sub-functions (including Treasury and ALCM, Financial Reporting, Regulatory and Accounting Policy teams) at regional and global levels
  • Ensure effective allocation of resources (including capital and funding to support balance sheet growth, and investment budgets against strategic priorities) to optimise returns for the Bank and shareholders
Requirements

Requirements
  • Diverse finance experience with exposure across multiple disciplines including business information and analysis, asset liability and capital management, financial accounting and reporting, and finance change management
  • Analytical, strategy-minded and enjoy to work on complicated issues and scenario
  • Experience of developing and using financial models, leveraging large data sets and digital tools
  • Strong knowledge and experience in financial services (experience across retail banking, private banking, asset management and/or insurance would all be relevant)
  • Strong leadership skill with high drive and can-do attitude. Outstanding interpersonal, communication and relationship management skills with a proven ability to engage effectively and confidently at all levels across the Group, including challenging and partnering with senior business leaders
  • Proven ability in working across multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural diverse work environments with strong organisational, time management and planning skills in order to cope with multiple responsibilities across a large and complex landscape
