Located in Waltham, MA, GIM seeks a candidate who is a motivated, self-starter with small/smid cap expertise focused broadly on technology. This position represents an opportunity to join a team of six PMs. The successful candidate will have a proven track record with superior performance results. Mission: Manufacture strong and consistent investment performance by executing a philosophy and fundamental investment process that is sound and repeatable.
Roles and responsibilities:
Analyze publicly available information on companies and industries focused on the broad-based technology industry. Conduct due diligence through own developed network.
Collaborate with peer portfolio managers about existing or new potential investment ideas and trends within the technology industry.
Develop and execute a consistent and repeatable valuation methodology which incorporates a stock’s upside potential and downside risk.
Create a diversified portfolio taking into consideration company and stock conviction, risk/reward/ expected return and portfolio correlation and diversification.
Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to write quarterly commentaries and contribute to the development of new products.
Job qualifications and requirements
Minimum 10 years financial portfolio management experience with at least a 3-year proven track record in the small/smid cap growth arena.
CFA and/or MBA preferred.
Ability to process and synthesize data and present ideas in a clear concise manner.
Strong organizational, analytical, written and verbal communication skills for both internal use and engagement with investors externally.
Ability to prepare and deliver persuasive oral and written reports and presentations.
Demonstrated strong intera-personal skills exemplified by the ability to forge strong relationships and actively listen.
Willingness to travel for research and marketing.
