The Office of the Financial Stability Oversight Council is hiring! We are hiring Senior Policy Advisors at the GS-15 level.  These individuals will work on the dynamic and fast-growing FSOC Secretariat team to help research and monitor issues related to U.S. financial stability – including climate-related financial risk, digital assets, nonbank financial intermediation, Treasury market resilience, and other emerging risks.  They will have unique opportunities to liaise and collaborate with counterparts at FSOC member agencies (FRB, SEC, OCC, etc.) through their leadership and support of interagency FSOC committees and their assistance with the development of reports mandated by Congress or the White House regarding risks to U.S. financial stability.  Candidates should have U.S. citizenship and minimum one year’s experience leading projects related to the research and analysis of financial markets, financial institutions, and regulatory policy.

 

As a Senior Policy Advisor, you will:

Support the statutory missions of the Council and serve as a Senior Policy Advisor in analyzing the economic, financial, and policy implications of matters before the Council.
- Develop, produce, and prepare policy statements, briefing materials, Congressional testimonies, Congressional reports, official correspondence, and other official documents for the Secretary, and other senior officials at Treasury in their role as supporting the Chairperson of the Council and at member agencies of the Council.
- Work with others and independently in coordinating analysis on matters before the Council.
- Participate in, and often coordinate interagency committees and working groups of the Council member agencies, develop research and analytical materials on matters of interest to the Council
