Senior Financial Analyst

*This position will be in-office located in Dallas, TX. Relocation allowance considered*

Purpose: The Senior Financial Analyst provides executive team investment analysis, through research, modeling, and valuations to support investment strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance
  • 3+ years in either Investment or Equity REIT Research experience
  • Strong writing, proofing, formatting, and communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail, placing a high priority on accuracy
  • Highly organized, proactive and resourceful
  • Demonstrated initiative and good judgment as well as the ability to work well under pressure
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); knowledge of CRM programs
  • Strong qualitative analytical skills; having the ability to research, analyze, and present complex financial data clearly and concisely
  • Naturally inquisitive with a desire to understand the bigger picture and contribute to understanding and solving problems
  • Exceptional excel/modeling/forecasting skills are essential, as is advanced knowledge of financial statements and valuation.
  • Versatility in the use of data management and systems.
  • Solid experience with analyzing financial statements

  • CFA Level III or Candidate

Responsibilities:

  • Create presentations for current and prospective investors
  • Respond to ad-hoc requests for information and conduct investment analysis
  • Help identify and execute on key investor relations initiatives
  • Develop and oversee internal long-term forecast models, perform various debt and equity scenario analyses, and project financial outcomes for multiple strategic initiatives
  • Detailed market research and analysis, including economic, demographic, capital markets, and locational (submarket/micro location) to identify key investment drivers and potential impacts
  • Develop and maintain research databases on public and private competitors tracking operating data, financial metrics, KPIs, and other publicly available information
  • Aggregating and analyzing portfolio data; preparing summary spreadsheets, graphs and tables; evaluating performance metrics; highlighting notable issues and trends; and developing meaningful and insightful commentary
  • Responsible for monthly/quarterly investment performance reporting, performance analysis, forecasting, and various ad-hoc dynamic analysis
  • Help maintain and manage the investor database
