M&A Associate - highly successful European boutique (German speaker)

My client is a successful mid-market boutique investment bank with several offices across Europe. The team is sector agnostic but has a Technology and Consumer sector bias.

The Associate role is a key position in the London team and acts similar a VP post in many firms - you will be responsible for managing a team of interns and Analysts and work closely with an MD on deals and liaise directly with clients. Specifically, you will be responsible for:

• Driving deal execution and the M&A process (supported by a team of Analysts and guided by senior leaders)
• Leading on the creation and structuring of IMs and marketing materials
• Building and evaluating financial models
• Analysis of strategic drivers in key sectors
• Leading client and investor communication - you will be the key point person on your projects
• Involved in driving business development initiatives and the opportunity to lead on this where appropriate
• Coaching and developing juniors

The selected individual will meet the following criteria:

• Possess requisite level of M&A to operate confidently at the Assocate level
• Strong preference for a fluent German speaker
• Have clear indepth knowledge of valuation, accounting, financial reporting, financial instruments and general M&A concepts
• Excellent grasp of complex financial modelling concepts, with a keen understanding of broader commercial issues
