Eligibility:
Our next internship program runs through the summer of 2023. We're looking for students who are working towards a Bachelor's, and due to complete their studies to be available for a full-time role commencing in 2024.

The Role:
Software Engineers design, develop, validate, and bring new products to market. As part of an agile team, you will envision, groom, and commit to building new features or enhancing current functionality in sprint cadence. You will add to our test suites and demonstrate completed stories to our stakeholders and clients. You will look for ways to innovate and enhance our products and processes.

You will have the opportunity to experience a high-level of collaboration and cross-training on a range of applications. We offer a collaborative, global, quality engineering team that is accustomed to helping one another learn and excel while working to continuously improve the level of quality delivered to our internal and external users.

Key Responsibilities Include:
- Developing SQL code
- Build data pipelines in java, Scala or Python
- Writing unit tests to support code developed
- Collaborating with teammates during technical designs
- Helping size and groom Agile stories
- Participate in team code reviews and trainings
- Demo completed work to stakeholders
- Deploy completed work to our QA and production environments following our release standards
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities, results-oriented, and able to demonstrate successful delivery in highly dynamic environments
- Be in tune with emerging Big Data trends and cloud technologies and participate in evaluation of new technologies.
- Work in partnership with the development teams to deliver business functionality on time with required quality that meets the acceptance criteria.

The Summer Internship Program will provide you with a variety of experiences to help you identify your strengths, develop highly transferable skills and align you to a successful career path for a bright future at S&P Global. To be an ideal fit for the role, you should have:

- A Bachelor's or Master's degree (or equivalent) completed no later than May 2024
- 0-6 months relevant work experience
- Demonstrated passion or interest in one or more of our key industries
- Strong SQL/data manipulation skills required including cleaning and handling data
- Scala, Python, Java
- Willingness to work with unstructured, messy data
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- An aptitude to learn and adapt quickly in a rapidly changing environment
- Intellectual curiosity and desire to learn new things, techniques, and technologies
- The ability to build strong working relationships in a collaborative setting
- Be legally eligible to work for the duration of the program in the country for which you apply
- Be a self-starter who is also an excellent team player in a passionate team-oriented culture.
- Able to communicate effectively with non-technical internal and external clients and other stakeholders.
