Your new role
As the Test Lead, your role will involve implementing a consistent, risk-based approach to testing across the whole of the SAPOL IS&T department. This is a key role, providing testing services and advice across a broad project portfolio as well as BAU solutions. You will work with business contacts across the organization and closely with the PMO and other stakeholders to ensure that accurate estimates of testing efforts are provided at the project initiation phase and work with them to ensure that testing resources are available. As a Test Lead you will be responsible for the formulation and implementation of software testing strategies. You will also be responsible for projects across the testing services and maintaining tools to support the processes. This role will have a major focus on people leadership, it will be essential for you to have past experience in mentoring or leading a team. You will report to the SAPOL IS&T Manager, Quality and Assurance and will work with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including other operational managers, to ensure the integrity, availability and quality of IS&T services to SAPOL. What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will bring skills they have learnt elsewhere with new ideas. There will be support and development work to complete. The integration of systems is extremely important as it directly affects the safety of police officers and the public.
  • Previous experience working as a Test Lead or Senior Test Analyst.
  • Experience leading a team of technical experts in various forms of testing including systems, acceptance, load and regression testing.
  • Knowledge of, and practical experience in, managing functional and non-functional testing, administering test management tools in an SDLC and ITIL environment.
  • Strong technical documentation and interpretation skills
  • Sound verbal and written communication skills to articulate technical ideas clearly and concisely across a broad range of key stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ideally, you will have experience leading a team from manual to automated testing and evaluating where this would be most effective implementation.
Salary
AS07 $ 104,938 -$113,435 Per Annum (Plus Superannuation)
