Role overview
Citi are seeking a technically focused senior developer to build out of the Risk platform. This is a rare and great opportunity for a self-driven, strong and passionate technologist to help transform Equities Derivatives systems into an integrated, best-in-class platform that will represent technology response to growing business ambitions in the face of industry/regulatory challenges.
The team work in an agile manner, self-organize their work, and have good autonomy over technology decisions. They own the continuous delivery pipeline through to production and strive to release frequently into production.
What do we do
The Equities Risk Technology Team globally supports the Equities Front Office Risk Management systems, providing the business with capabilities to manage intra-day and overnight risk and PnL of positions.
The organization is undertaking a complete revamp of the platform, in order to support business expansion plans, to close the gap to competition. Extensive analysis of challenging business problems and transparent, efficient project management of a complex technical eco-system are vital to the success of the overall strategy.
What you will do
  • Resolve variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards
  • Provide expertise in area and advanced knowledge of applications programming and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint
  • Utilize advanced knowledge of system flow and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation
  • Develop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goals
  • Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions
  • Serve as advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as necessary
What you will bring

A senior data engineer with demonstrable experience of equity derivatives risk management solutions that have dealt with storing/processing/querying risk and P&L results at a global scale adhering to tight SLAs using distributed technologies that have been designed from the ground up to be scalable and highly fault tolerant.

A strong foundation in writing clean, well-tested and easy to support systems for collecting, storing and analysing data at scale and in real-time.
