Senior Manager, MI and Analysis

The Cost Reporting and Analysis team has responsibility for consolidating, analysing and reporting Group management expenses. This includes coordination of month end and planning & forecasting activity across the wider finance community. Key stakeholders include the finance leadership team and GEC, business area CFOs and Heads of Finance, statutory accounting teams, and actuarial teams, including With Profits actuaries.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Co-ordination of strategic and tactical cost management MI, to ensure this remains relevant and fit for purpose.
  • Reporting and analysis of executive financial dashboards.
  • Perform regular and adhoc analysis of the management expense cost base. Undertake deep dive cost analysis as required to support the business in its strategic aims and targets .
  • Support for the 'fairness review' as required by the With Profits actuarial teams.
  • Identify areas for self-development and proactively engaging in training where appropriate.

  • Ability to organise and prioritise tasks efficiently.

  • Ability to follow tasks and projects through until completion/full delivery.
  • A drive to learn and expand their knowledge and experience.

Key Knowledge & Experience:
  • A high level of literacy & numeracy and an extensive knowledge of standard Microsoft office applications is required.
  • Experience with PowerBI is required, in particular the adoption of PowerBI in financial management reporting.
  • Experience of providing high level executive reporting focusing on key business issues and impacts
  • Qualified accountant with significant PQE.
