About the Department
UOB Private Bank is dedicated to managing the wealth of high-net-worth individuals with investment assets of $5 million and above. Keeping in mind our clients' financial objectives, we provide tailored products and solutions that draw on the Group's comprehensive suite of personal, business and investment services.

We are looking for an experienced Business Strategist to shape Private Bank's long-term strategy and this person will develop measures that realise our business objectives. The Business Strategist will be tasked with assessing organisational performance, developing achievable goals and implementing processes that improve organisational effectiveness and build a sustainable competitive advantage.

Job Responsibilities
• Conduct market & industry research, competitive analysis research, regulatory research in related countries, including secondary research and primary research
• Responsible for developing business strategies to increase revenue, cut costs, and promote growth
• Review and recommend improvements to existing business strategies
• Develop business presentations to management when required
• Work with the team to develop innovative business techniques and models
• Identify business gaps and propose corrective actions
• Recommend business improvements based on market and competitive trends.
• Perform root cause analysis of potential problems and provide effective resolutions
• Develop business cases based on business analytics and competitive intelligence
• Develop business plan and complete all due diligence activities
• Perform business modeling to optimise business functionality and performance
• Collaborate with various departments to collect business data to complete timely analysis
• Perform business analysis and reporting to management for decision making purposes

Job Requirements
• A successful candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in finance, marketing, business management or any business-related fields.
• A least 6 years of experience in a strategy role
• Detailed knowledge of industry trends and market behavior
• Excellent project management skills
• Deep understanding of management frameworks • Business mindset with strong analytical and critical thinking skills to present solutions to complex problems in a logical and step-by-step manner
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Sound knowledge of financial analysis
• Proficient in Microsoft Power Point and Microsoft Excel
