Associate, Corporate Strategy, Global Insurance Business
We are now working with a global insurance business. Their Strategy team is looking for a Strategy associate to join the London-based group.
This team works directly with their business leaders, shaping the strategy that enables them to achieve its global ambitions.
The team is tasked with facilitating and supporting decision making to ensure the company invests in the assets and capabilities needed to stay ahead of the competition and maintain market leadership, with fresh and disruptive thinking. They help evolve early ideas into future growth initiatives, and work to drive these forward.
This is a particularly exciting time to join a dynamic, ambitious, friendly and respected team that is highly visible across the company, especially with senior leadership. They pride ourselves on a flat team structure, providing opportunities for our team members to shape and own their projects. There are strong growth opportunities both within the team and the wider business.
What you'll be doing:
Contributing to continuous development of the overall strategy for the business
Providing thought leadership to business partners on a broad range of business-critical topics, from product and growth strategies to operational and organisational challenges and opportunities
Crafting insightful presentations that summarise analysis and presenting them to groups of senior leaders to influence decision-making.
Conducting market research, identifying and monitoring industry trends and competitive analysis.
Managing the relationship with specific business leaders to help them develop and grow their divisions
Supporting the leadership team with ad hoc requests in a timely, accurate and insightful way Project examples include growth strategy, market entry, product strategy, digital distribution and target operating model design
What we're looking for:
Experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, and/or financial services/insurance
High proficiency in and passion for problem solving; ability to break complex challenges into logical and manageable components
Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple projects.
Ability to successfully work and partner across multiple functions in an organisation.
Ability to identify business challenges and opportunities, think creatively about solutions, and create well-structured plans by weighing risks
Ability to create actionable plans to implement strategy
Strong, effective communicator - comfortable engaging with senior leaders, and able to effectively challenge the status quo to shift the way of thinking
