We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Manager, Sustainable Finance Origination and Structuring, CMB ASP.

Principal Responsibilities

The Senior Manager, Structuring will sit within Regional ASP CMB Sustainability in HSBC's Commercial Bank (CMB). The purpose of this role is to accelerate CMB's sustainability business through supporting our business and clients through their transition journey whilst originating and structuring sustainable financing and non-financing solutions
  • Lead and support the origination and structuring of sustainable finance transactions in collaboration with local sustainable finance leads, RM's and business teams
  • Business development and establish origination strategies for specific sectors, portfolios and priority clients
  • Facilitate and oversee deal review and internal endorsement process, including the ASP Sustainable Finance Committee
  • Develop sales enablement materials and pitches to facilitate business opportunities and ESG thought leadership
  • Increase frontline's ESG knowledge on market trends and standards
  • Expand on new economy, technology and select industry client opportunities with high ESG grow potential
  • Collaborate with regional sustainability, coverage, product and functional teams to align client and portfolio prioritization while helping ensure effective deal execution
  • Integrate client transition plan engagements and assessments into the business decision process and sustainability solutions
  • Responsibility for supporting specific markets in CMB's South & South East Asia sub-region
  • Engagement with 3rd parties, industry bodies, ESG consultants as appropriate
Requirements

Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years in a similar capacity
  • Multi-year front line / relationship management or origination/structuring experience in commercial or global banking
  • Proven track record in a client-focused environment and providing tailored solutions
  • Strong knowledge of Commercial Banking and Global Banking and Markets products and services. Prior knowledge in ESG, sustainable finance products or transactions a strong advantage
  • Ability to engage a diverse group of stakeholders to deliver at pace and build a trusted-advisor relationship with working partners
  • Understand on monitor the developing and diverse set of standards across sustainable finance, including the risks and avoidance of "Greenwashing"
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
