YOUR MISSION AS A FIXED INCOME CREDIT ANALYST

JAG is now seeking a Fixed Income Credit Analyst in our St. Louis office. As a member of our fixed income portfolio management team, you will work closely with other team members to support our strategies and to generate investable ideas within the fixed income space.

  • SUPPORT OUR FIXED INCOME PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT TEAM – Serve as a key member of JAG’s fixed income portfolio management team and as a key resource for 30-50 active portfolio holdings. Analyze companies, their bonds and identify value and risks regarding investment strategies. Share opinions and make action recommendations on buy/sell decisions, duration and risk. Identify and assess cyclical and secular trends affecting issuers’ credit profiles. Participate in portfolio management team meetings and share action recommendations via presentation. Opportunity to creatively develop new investment strategies, risk mitigation approaches and process improvement.
  • PARTICIPATE IN THE PRODUCTION OF CLIENT MATERIALS Contribute ideas and content for periodic strategy communications and ad-hoc market commentary. Integrate portfolio and strategy monitoring into ongoing due diligence processes.
  • PROVIDE SUPPORT TO CLIENT SERVICE AND MARKETING PERSONNEL – Assist in time-sensitive projects such as RFPs and consultant or client requests. Participate in client and prospective client meetings as needed.

IS THIS A MATCH FOR YOU?

  • You have gained 5+ years demonstrated experience in financial analysis, ideally fixed income/credit analysis in the financial industry.
  • Your technology skills are strong. You are highly proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint capabilities. You have a deep understanding of standard industry tools (i.e., Bloomberg).
  • You have superior communication skills, (including verbal, written, and presentation skills) as well as the ability to confidently interact and work well across all levels of the organization.
  • You have superior collaboration and influencing skills. You enjoy contributing to a highly collaborative investment environment and will embrace the benefits of overlapping lines of idea generation. You can confidently provide an opinion or point of view with sufficient data and evidence.
  • You have a growth mindset, intellectual curiosity, and willingness for continued learning.
  • You have superior organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  • You’re a team player with the ability to adapt your approach across a diverse stakeholder base.
  • Four-year college degree is required. Advanced degree such as MBA is desirable yet not required. CFA designation a plus!

WORK LOCATION

This position will be based in St. Louis, Missouri. There will be future opportunity to work one day a week remote.
