Project Accord has been created to enhance ANZ's AML/CTF Program and is comprised of members from all divisions. The financial crime landscape is continually evolving and Project Accord is underpinned by a need for continual improvement in how we operate.

The position of Payments Initiatives Lead is a key role in Institutional Division's involvement in this program.

The Markets Payments Initiative Lead will work with our Payments Regulation, Product Managers, and other Product Partners (Operations, Risk, and Technology) to coordinate the delivery of our Markets uplift agenda under the IFTI stream of Project Accord.

The Markets Payments Initiative Lead, will be Markets expert in Cross Border Fund transfers and will support the delivery of key initiatives to uplift our payments capabilities, including Straight Through Processing. The Lead will also play an important role in the collation of key requirements to be met by solutions built into Markets systems, working closely with the Accord IFTI team and key Markets System stakeholders.

Experience in Project Delivery, Risk/Audit (particularly AML/CTF), Operational Processes or Payments Products, is desirable but not essential. You will be a strong communicator (both written and verbal) with ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely.

You are a self-starter with keenness to learn, able to deal with multiple concepts, and willing to take initiatives to support our wider team and business in ensuring compliance deadlines are met.

What will your day look like?

Business Analysis & Project Management:
  • Requirements gathering, qualification and translating this into solutions
  • Leveraging your experience delivering projects and understanding of planning, implementation, and the project delivery lifecycle
  • Create Functional Design specifications documents for end-to-end workflow
  • Experience in using Agile framework in creating user stories and tracking it through JIRA Dashboard
Initiatives Governance and Management:
  • Leading, coordinating and executing change management activities with Payment Projects, Regulatory Team, Markets Business and various enablement team
  • Facilitation, stakeholder management and strong verbal communication
  • Operational readiness by Preparing, equipping and supporting people to successfully adopt change to drive organisational outcomes
  • Leading working group with various senior stakeholder to drive common purpose and deliver the agreed outcome
  • Test scripts writing, Testing and execution
  • Ensure the quality and viability of working solutions through quality practices and rigorous testing with a customer-centric focus
  • Articulation and effective communication
  • Navigate through ambiguity, challenging situation and focus at delivering common goals
What will you bring?

  • Analyst experience, having prepared written records for risk or audit purposes
  • Familiarity with ANZ's approach to managing Operational Risk
  • Knowledge of payments or related payments operational processes
  • Planning and organisation (e.g. Project Experience, Business Planning)
  • Established experience in Business Analysis in Cross Broder Payments expertise such as Nostro accounts, swift , AML/Sanction screening
  • Knowledge in Swift and Cross border payment guidelines
  • Practical understanding of usability of MT103 /MT202
  • Global Markets Products & System knowledge is an added advantage
  • Markets Ops lifecycle of Confirmation /Settlement and Investigation is added advantage
  • Proven experience in applying Agile Delivery Methodology
  • Past experience in using JIRA, Confluence and others Project management tools
