This is an exciting opportunity to join a global investment bank headquartered in Sydney as they undergo a large technical transformation across their capital markets business across data, financial and risk technology. As the large program of work ramps up, they are looking to double their team size by hiring an additional 40+ engineers.

Working alongside a collaborative team of friendly and bright engineers, you will be involved in uplifting the data/financial/risk platforms which involve greenfield projects, and leveraging AI/ML for data analysis to allow better and more efficient decision-making for traders. You will develop, test and deploy code, and be involved in continuous improvement activities using the latest technologies and cutting edge data science tools in a Java and AWS (S3, Aurora/RDS, Kafka, Lambdas etc) environment following agile methodologies.

The business will invest in your learning and development from the get-go through hackathons, certifications, training and mentorship, and ensure you are upskilled in AWS and new technologies where needed.

You will work in a diverse and inclusive environment where you will be encouraged and empowered to be yourself. You will get to enjoy a range of staff perks, flexible/hybrid working, beautiful offices in Sydney CBD with onsite cafes and stocked up kitchens, regular staff events, and internal as well as global mobility opportunities.

If you are looking to grow your career in a company that puts technology at the forefront and have 2 or more years of experience in agile software development using the latest versions of Java, exposure or strong interest in cloud technologies, and good knowledge across data structures and algorithms, multithreading, full SDLC, and relational databases (SQL), we would love to see your application!
