Our client is a global asset manager with more than US$500 billion AUM worldwide, with a significant presence in the industrial and retail real estate sectors throughout Mexico.
What the job involves
  • Participate in the sourcing of potential investment opportunities within Mexico City and other major urban markets within Mexico
  • Lead, plan, direct and manage all internal and external activities related to the development of existing industrial projects as well as those in the pipeline
  • Assess feasibility for potential site (both land and existing property) acquisitions including property condition, entitlement probability, analysis of existing entitlements and plans, financial and market analysis, initial program identification, environmental studies, engineering and land use studies, etc.
  • Responsible for leading the planning, design, and entitlement process, including representation before municipal and other regulatory boards/agencies, managing land use attorneys, architects, engineers, and other consultants
  • Develop processes, systems, and controls to ensure a quality development process from beginning through to fruition
  • Provide regular reports and updates on projects' advances to internal and external stakeholders
Who we are looking for
  • Solid, hands-on experience in project development, ideally in the industrial real estate sector
  • Significant experience in conceptualizing, entitling, permitting, site planning, programming and executing industrial real estate projects in Mexico
  • Skilled in handling multiple tasks, with the ability to deliver against budget, schedules and quite frequently under pressure
  • Ability to read and interpret all architectural and engineering plans and specifications used in construction process
  • Methodical, skilled in developing processes and control systems
  • Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English
