Position Mission

Supporting the Middle Office function in key daily tasks, specifically aimed at executing financial controls for the active investments. Daily responsibilities include:
  • Coordinating and providing all relevant parties the necessary deal flow and cash flows details
  • Executing financial controls on data provided by our Operating Partners
  • Assisting in maintaining sound data quality controls for investment related reference data

This person will be the coordinator of information flow for investment opportunities between the Middle Office, Cash Management, Tax, Fund Accounting and Investment Accounting. As such, this person is a team player who builds relationships with the Investment teams, Legal and Compliance, Capital Formation, the Middle Office, the Accounting & Tax team and the Technology team. This person will also participate in various change projects and in this capacity be a key contributor for driving the strategic agenda for the firm.

Major Responsibilities
  • Process documentation and maintenance of investments, pointing out and resolving gaps
  • Organize touch points with Investment Accountants to discuss in more detail nature and understanding of investments
  • Research and internally coordinate any cash breaks
  • Coordinate the consolidation of investment data by partnering with Middle Office, Tax and Accounting
  • Support Middle Office and Shared Operations teams with data integrity reconciliation of all static and referential data between company version and Investment Accounting version.
  • Deliver accounting and investment data analytics to internal teams and fund administrator
  • Perform consistent control validations on operating partners data submissions while monitoring data quality KPIs
  • Initiate and drive process changes and automation
  • Create and/or review investment funds flows
  • Document process controls and key procedures
  • Identify, research, and troubleshoot operational issues

Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, business, management or equivalent
  • Applicable experience in Private Equity, Operational controls, Accountancy are a plus
  • Strong control mind-set
  • Additional languages a plus
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency across all Microsoft Office products
  • Experience with the Microsoft tools (e.g., power automate) is a plus
  • Experience with project management
  • Affinity for operational detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all areas and levels of the organization as well as with vendors
  • Willing and able to work hard and smart in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines/stakeholders
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Tenacious self-starter, with strong execution and follow through
  • Team player and adaptable; willing to perform tasks necessary to achieve common goals
