Trader Assistant (NYC) - Global Hedge Fund - Leading $ comp package - Front Office progression

The role is available a) to support a new fund launch, b) as a current TA is moving in to a trading role (after 18 months of being a TA). Sat on the investment desk, the remit is to closely support a leading portfolio manager & trader in a role that extends from core TA tasks, to risk management, execution oversight and street facing responsibilities. With 2-3yrs of exceptional individual performance, internal progression in to trading or junior portfolio management roles are possible.

Candidates must have a top tier academic profile and solid experience as a TA/middle office professional in a leading IB or hedge fund. Any advanced tech skills are preferred.

The role is flexible on budget to get the best hire - you can expect an attractive increase on current base. A top performer will also earn a bonus that is a large % of base. Based on the Mondrian Alpha 2022 compensation survey, this role comfortably pays the hire in the upper quartile of what US hedge funds currently pay trader assistants.
