CIB Credit Associate

A leading American investment bank is looking for a credit risk senior associate to sit on their credit risk team that focuses on energy portfolio and transactions. This team works in partnership with the first line business and many other product partners to meet the needs of clients. This function will structure, negotiate and approve origination of debt and other credit products.

Core Responsibilities:

• Attend client and bank meetings to conduct risk assessments and identify key risk factors, lead and/or participate in client due diligence meetings
• Lead underwriting and structuring of new lending activities
• Analyze and approve credit requests
• Perform on-going portfolio monitoring
• Prepare and present annual portfolio review to senior management
• Assist in training analysts

Qualifications:

• BA / BS degree
• 4+ years of experience of commercial or investment banking lending experience
• Superior credit, lending, negotiation, loan documentation, and financial modeling skills
