SUMMARY:

This position’s responsibility is to participate as a junior research analyst within the Infrastructure/ Utilities team as an active contributor, supporting the team’s research analysts and portfolio managers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assists in creating and maintaining complex financial models incorporating analytical insight from our top-down and bottom-up investment research process, including discounted cash flow analysis and relative valuations.

Conducts necessary sector and individual security research, including ESG scorecard analysis.

Assists with routine and ongoing administrative tasks for the team.

Assists with marketing and prospective client due diligence as needed.

Helps support the generation of board materials.

Collaborates with fellow team members to achieve objectives with project timelines.

Actively communicates with senior portfolio manager and other members of Infrastructure team.

Performs other duties as required by the EMD or other senior management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

BA/BS degree and 1-3 years of investment experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Previous work experience in infrastructure, utilities, or alternative energy sector a plus.

Pursuit of the CFA designation a plus.

Foreign language proficiency/fluency, cultural knowledge and travel experience a plus.

Excellent PC skills with proficiency using MS software and internet research capabilities.

Good communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and presentation skills.

Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, establish priorities, work independently, handle interruptions and proceed with objectives without supervision.

Excellent time management skills, with the ability to make timely decisions in a fast-paced dynamic environment, sometimes with incomplete information.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to work flexible hours, travel globally, attend conferences, and meet with company management.

Willingness to work in a hybrid work environment (i.e., combination of in-office and remote work).

Sit for prolonged periods.

Ability to operate a computer and perform repetitive motion activities.

Ability to lift 25 pounds.
