Equity Research Associate

Description: Energy-focused public-equity manager based in Chicago, IL searching for an equity research associate to support the investment team

Responsibilities:

• Perform fundamental research on current and prospective investments
• Build and update financial models and data sets
• Assist in writing investment memos
• Perform ad-hoc research projects at the direction of the investment team
• Develop and maintain relationships with management teams, investor relations, and industry experts

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree: 0-3 years’ experience
• Desired education/work experience: Business (accounting, finance, or economics), Sciences (engineering, geology, geophysics…), or Other (math, history…)
• Knowledge and aptitude with Microsoft Excel and Power Point
• Programming experience a plus (e.g. Python)
• Desire to learn
