Purpose & Scope

Support the evaluation of Sembcorp's renewable energy strategies and investment deals on due diligence and financial modelling. The position will be part of the Renewable Energy, Vietnam team for Singapore and Southeast Asia Market, and will play a key supporting role in the analysis of business opportunities and strategies.

Key Roles & Responsibilities
  1. Develop financial models for greenfield and brownfield (M&A) power, renewable energy and utilities business segments.
  2. Assist in performing commercial viability, financial and valuation analysis.
  3. Perform relevant market or comparable analysis to support commercial or financial valuation analysis and transaction due diligence.
  4. Perform research, analysis and documentation of strategic transactions.
  5. Provide execution support that encompass financial analysis of deal structures, documentation assistance and development, credit analysis when relevant and post financial close monitoring.
  6. Prepare materials for engaging internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience
  1. Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics or related discipline.
  2. 3 - 5 years of financial modelling experience in Project Finance, Credit Analysis, Transaction Advisory or Corporate Banking.
  3. Candidates with relevant industry experience preferred.

  5. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. The role requires frequent interactions with local stakeholders in some of the Southeast Asia countries and handling of documents in the local language. For a more effective work communication, the ability to speak, read and write Vietnamese will be useful.
