A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a highly experienced and established Chief Operating Officer to help shape the strategic direction of our global Private Credit & Asset Finance business, in operational areas such as planning, budgeting, staffing, administration and developing an operating model to match our growth ambitions.

In this key role, you will take ownership of the development and implementation of our target operating model to increase scalability and drive better decision making through enhancements to our information, data and technology. This will include identifying and implementing efficiencies across the global platform and enhancing our clients' experience, leveraging data and technology build within MAM whilst delivering against the unique needs of Private Credit & Asset Finance.

As a key advisor to the Head of Private Credit & Asset Finance and member of the Private Credit & Asset Finance Management Committee, you will closely support the development and execution of the strategic plan, taking responsibility for evaluating, developing, and managing strategic priorities, including new products and businesses. This will include delivery of inorganic growth initiatives including assessment, diligence, and transition implementation/integration in partnership with the MAM Corporate Development team. Additional duties will include:
  • Engagement of other Macquarie divisions in support of the execution of the Private Credit & Asset Finance strategy
  • Coordination with Human Resources and other teams on workforce strategy including both short and long term needs and consideration of the most effective operating model
  • Delivering the annual budget and ongoing reporting with support from the MAM Financial Planning and Analysis team
  • Acting as a New Product Committee member for Private Credit, with a focus on operating model and efficiency
  • Business Management including Management Committee coordination and responsibility for strategy days, staff communications and engagement
  • Participation in presentations to clients of funds/vehicles focusing on operating model cashflow dynamics, when appropriate
  • Defining the operational, technology and data needs of the Private Credit & Asset Finance business and overseeing delivery against those
  • Working with regional COOs and other central teams to improve and streamline service provider relationship management with a specific Private Credit & Asset Finance lens

To be successful in this role, you will bring strong previous experience as a COO in a similar sector (or broader Financial Services industry), with a demonstrable track record of effectively leading and engaging matrixed internal teams (including Enterprise, Technology, Risk and Finance) and efficiently manage a variety of operational workstreams concurrently. You will be a strong communicator and relationship builder. Excellent communication skills and a strong analytical toolkit will be essential.
