Operations is one of the largest divisions in the firm and has diverse responsibilities, including correctly settling and recording millions of transactions per day, identifying, and mitigating all operational risks, developing strong client relationships, and partnering with technology to realize the full potential of IT and e-solutions. Team Profile:
As part of Morgan Stanley's ongoing commitment to prevent and detect money laundering and terrorist financing, the Firm has adopted a comprehensive, risk-based program to ensure compliance with counter- terrorism and AML laws, rules, regulations, and government guidance. The CTAG Advisory team works closely with CORS line teams, Risk and Global Financial Crimes Compliance, among other groups, to drive and support a structured and standardized approach towards the policy interpretation and implementation, providing operational guidance for regulatory requirements, preparing for audits and exams. The team is also responsible for resolution of process quality checks of completed CORS records on monthly basis. Additionally, the Advisory Team works closely with Global Financial Crimes and Legal and Compliance to operationalize policy to ensure the team fulfills regulatory requirements, serving as the first point of CORS escalation on policy-related questions, globally.

Primary Responsibilities:
The successful candidate for the KYC Advisory Team position will support the Institutional business globally with responsibilities that will include:
- Provide subject matter expertise as part of the team and partner with Legal and Compliance, CORS Management to operationally interpret policies relevant to ISG businesses, including global and local AML/KYC policies, and other regulations, such as MIFID, EMIR, Dodd Frank, etc.
- Partner with Change and CRD IT to plan and prioritize development and implementation of policy rules globally across CORS.
- Manage the policy change management process, ensuring that changes and enhancements are incorporated into rules and procedures and socialized across CORS, GFC and BU stakeholders.
- Provide advisory support for the KYC on-boarding and DDR teams globally, serving as the liaison with central GFC team for on-going guidance and interpretation questions.
- Coordinate training on new policies and procedures as required.
- Assess the impact of new policies and amendments to existing policies.
- Contribute to implementation and monitoring of existing controls and exception reports required to monitor on-going compliance with policy rules
- Face-off with senior managers in IT, Business Units, Compliance, and Risk.
- Focus on quality improvement initiatives that strive to create a quality-conscious culture, decrease regulatory risk, and error trends, and increase stakeholder satisfaction
- Leverage results of quality program to identify and address gaps in training program
- Contribute to the continuous improvement agenda by suggesting process and procedure improvements as well as training and communication opportunities discovered from the quality review process

Qualifications:

Skills required:
- 5+ years of relevant work experience
- Experience with AML-KYC Regulations
- Experience working with Compliance, Internal Audit or Regulatory Operations in Financial Services
- Regulatory knowledge and capital markets knowledge
- Bachelor's Degree
- Critical attention to detail and research/investigative skills
- Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills
- Strong knowledge in producing metrics and presentations
- Ability to work independently and meet business deadlines with accuracy
- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders across divisions and disciplines
- Ability to trouble-shoot to mitigate risks associated with businesses supported
- Ability to interact effectively with global colleagues
- Ability to multi-task in a complex matrix environment
- Strong written and verbal skills with clear and effective communication
- Ability to manage pressure and stressful business demands, including change and ambiguity
- Strong working knowledge of reference data concepts, and the application of business rules in a operational context
- Strong background in compliance policies impacting client onboarding such as AML/KYC, MIFID, EMIR and Dodd Frank
- Experience working in a global environment.
- Demonstrated experience successfully implementing change in organizations for enterprise-wide and/or cross-functional large-scale initiatives.

Experience Preferred:
- Experience with Regulatory Exams
- Experience working in Compliance, Internal Audit or Regulatory Operations in Financial Services
