The Location: London, UK- Hybrid role- 2-3 days in office.

The Team: Paid conferences and free events are a core marketing tactic for the business to create an exceptional customer experience and drive revenue. Reporting to the Associate Director, Customer Marketing (EMEA), the Regional Marketing Manager, Conferences & Events (EMEA) will be responsible for the operation and flawless delivery of a range of free forums and events in the UK, Europe, UAE and Africa (webinars, forums, seminars drink receptions and technical workshops ) from venue search to onsite execution for the range of 100-1000 delegates. You will create and deploy comprehensive marketing plans to promote and attract delegates to our free events. Where required you will also support delegate acquisition for the commercial conference portfolio.

What we're looking for: The ideal candidate will possess superior project management skills; manage multiple projects simultaneously providing clear communication of timelines and expectations to team members and stakeholders. They should have events experience and demonstrate their ability to deliver a top-quality client experience alongside strong attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal (written and verbal) and organizational skills are critical, as is the ability to analyze markets and customer needs to develop marketing plans using email marketing, social media and advertising. Ideally they should have experience in building and managing customer data (targeting, segmentation, sizing) to define and track the key metrics for email and online marketing success.

Expertise in Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Event Management and Marketing Automation software applications - Marketo, SalesForce, Cvent, Event apps - is preferable. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (in particular PowerPoint) and Adobe (or comparable platforms) is essential.

Responsibilities:
  • Project manage end-to-end the operations and set up of free events and forums; liaising with venues to contract space, agencies to carry out production, branding and asset creation.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders including sales and editorial teams to establish event objectives, content and go to market strategy.
  • Manage the development and implementation of comprehensive marketing plans for events and conferences including direct mail, email, website merchandising optimization, search engines and social media marketing.
  • Implement detailed direct marketing and telesales programs tailored for each conference to hit the target delegate numbers and revenues, where necessary working with marketing counterparts at partner organizations
  • Maintain and develop new data gathering, data management and campaign tracking processes to improve the efficiency of the marketing and sales operation
  • Work with the Creative team (and agencies) to create and maintain compelling marketing collateral, web pages, online conference registrations, manage search engine marketing and social networking media initiatives; analyze web site user activity reports on a regular basis.
  • Track web analytics reports and direct mail campaign analyses to continuously improve web site usability and increase conversion rates.
  • International travel will be required where necessary
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business-related discipline
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in event management, online and offline direct marketing, customer acquisition and retention in a business-to-business professional services or training organization
