What will you be doing?

• On behalf of a global financial services organization, develop and apply mathematical and statistical theory and methods to collect, organize, interpret, and summarize numerical data to provide usable information.
• Oversee the Pre Charge off processes for Collections Strategies.
• Responsible for performance measurement of newly implemented strategies by performing statistical testing.
• Deliver new projects by developing new code and analysis using SAS, SQL, ETL (Extract, Transform & Load), Python, and Tableau.
• Create statistical models for Collections KPI projections.
• Responsible for optimization of existing strategies. Develop robust management information (MI) for collections and operations across product for customer profile and performance.
• Participate in managing and monitoring credit strategies related to customers in collections.
• Contribute to recommendations for management direction and business initiatives to address risk-related opportunities within the US Consumer Bank portfolio, including Cards, Loans, and Deposits.
• Analyze data of previously delivered projects in order to determine trends, customer, and agent performance to be able to implement newer strategies.
• Provide statistical data for day-to-day operations and delivery to senior leadership.
• May telecommute from any US location.

What we're looking for:

Minimum of a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Business Analytics, Statistics, or a related field and at least three (3) years of experience as an Analyst, Engineer, or related occupation.

Must have at least three (3) years of employment experience with each of the following required skills:

• Performing statistical, predictive, and data modelling and developing new collections technical strategy codes using SAS and Python;
• Developing products using Unix command and scripting languages, SQL, SAS, SAS EG, and Unix SAS;
• Utilizing big data processing tools in a Hadoop ecosytem using Hive, Spark, and Pig;
• Optimizing existing technical Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) processes for improved automation;
• Obtaining data and transforming it into understandable business metrics to identify trends, tracking profitability, and business benefit and visually presenting data;
• Building data models and observing and analyzing trends found within historical data, which are used to make key strategic decisions depending on customer pulse and agent behavior;
• Serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the banking and finance industries to help prevent edge case scenarios and for writing new project requirements; and
• Identifying Strategic threshold and improve operational efficiency through linear optimization.

Where will you be working?

You will be working at our Wilmington, DE location at 125 South West Street. At Barclays' Wilmington campus includes two beautiful buildings located along the historic Wilmington, DE Riverfront. A glance out our windows reveal a scenic look at the Christiana River, along with a growing riverfront community of luxury apartments, shops, and restaurants. Additionally, the Wilmington train station is a short walk away making travel from New York and Washington, DC convenient.
