The Real Estate Risk Analyst I is an entry role primarily handling administrative tasks and some real estate analyses. It requires a good knowledge of the range of processes, procedures and systems to be used in carrying out assigned tasks and a basic understanding of the underlying concepts and principles upon which the job is based. Good understanding of how the team interacts with others in accomplishing the objectives of the area. They are expected to resolve problems by identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired technical experience and will be guided by precedents. Must be able to exchange information in a concise and logical way as well as be sensitive to audience diversity. Limited but direct impact on the business through the quality of the tasks/services provided. Impact of the job holder is restricted to own job. Oversees risks taken in connection with real estate activities that are secured by liens on or interests in real estate, direct and indirect private equity and public market real estate investments, capital markets, servicing any consumer or commercial loan undertaken when real estate security or real estate activity, or an asset sale, or a refinancing.

Responsibilities:
- Report to Collateral Risk and Oversight Manager
- Provide verbal valuations to internal customers for loan approvals and credit reviews purposes
- Liaise with external appraisal firms to arrange internal property inspections in a timely manner
- Ensure valuation reports are ordered and received from external appraisal firms in a timely manner
- Ensure internal appraisal processes and external appraisal report are in full compliance with regulatory and Citigroup Appraisal Standards and requirements
- Input data into CitiRisk - Real Estate Collateral Appraisal System
- Maintain computer and manual filing systems in compliance to record management policies of the company and the legislation
- Develop and update administrative systems to improve efficiency
- Answer and follow up enquiries from Accounts Officer (AO) and/or Relationship Manager (RM)
- Arrange monthly invoice payments to our appraisers
- Review Appraisals (e.g., low exposure/risk Compliance Summary)
Requirements:
- Previous risk experience preferred
- Knowledge of financial services, knowledge of Citi is a plus. Knowledge of the elements of Risk Ability to analyze situations that create risk and legal liability for Citi.
- Proven admin and/or assistant experience
- Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-tasks and prioritize work
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Proficient in MS Office
- Have at least two years related experience - real estate field preferred
Education:
- Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience is preferred
