Our client is an international asset management firm with an unparalleled reputation across the Asia Pacific region. With the continued growth of the organization, the need has arisen to recruit a high calibre candidate to join them

Provide support and setup regulatory reporting platform for adherence to global regulatory rules (e.g., Dodd-Frank in U.S., EMIR in Europe, SFC/HKMA in HK and MAS in Singapore) of Risk Mitigation and Trade Reporting for derivatives. Include keeping up to date on drafted and published rules for multiple jurisdictions in Asia as well performing relevant analyses for impact of regulations. Support senior management & external reports, one-off issue resolution and operational activities as the need arises from the derivatives space. Liaise with global and Asian offices to share best practices and establish consistent derivative reporting procedures. Assist in designing new management reports and analytics beneficial to specific business units or for senior management reporting. Assist with daily settlements of cash and collateral for exchange traded and over-the-counter (OTC) derivatives. Lead in the resolution of any middle office issues with the counterparty, custodian and back office, dealing with our custodian(s) regarding the logistics and the reconciliation of in-transit cash and collateral settlements. Propose process improvements of operational functions that are overly manual, time consuming, and/or pose risks by various methods including automation, off-shoring, or re-engineering. These activities are mainly focused on processes within Asia Derivatives Services and generating information/reports useful to our internal clients and senior management. Possess good understanding of equity, fixed income, exchange traded, cleared and over the counter (OTC) derivatives.

To be considered, you should be a degree holder with a minimum 3 years of investment operations or regulatory reporting experience, with hands-on experience in derivatives products. Working knowledge of exchange-traded and OTC derivatives and regulatory reforms in U.S. (i.e., Dodd-Frank), Europe and Asia for OTC derivatives, specifically the Clearing, Risk Mitigation and Trade Reporting of OTC derivatives. Experience with Findur or an aptitude to grasp and use a new derivatives trading platform quickly, relatively independently and with depth. Sound communication, written and oral, and interpersonal skills.
